Essential Duties:

  • Adhere to posted speed limits and ensure all passengers are secured with seatbelts while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Serve as a mentor and trainer for new personnel.
  • Participate in a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education annually, successfully complete initial and annual physicals, and fulfill required training such as CALM and CPR.
  • Report and schedule necessary vehicle maintenance, while maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
  • Document any emergency breakdowns or accidents according to company policy.
  • Complete vehicle inspections, mileage tracking, and maintenance logs.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, adhering to all federal and state regulations.
  • Transport clients of Compass Health Network.
  • Plan and execute efficient pick-up and drop-off routes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, the public, and colleagues.
  • Follow protocols for incident reporting and addressing client complaints.
  • Inform supervisors of any unusual occurrences or risk management concerns.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Complete vehicle inspection logs as required.
  • May assist with conflict resolution and provide support during crises.
  • Support staff and clients in daily operations.
  • Communicate updates regarding clients with supervisors and other staff members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Guidelines:

  • Adhere to safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Respect client confidentiality and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Report any emergency breakdowns or accidents to the transportation manager as required.
  • Follow agency vehicle usage guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend all mandatory training sessions as required by Compass Health Network, accrediting bodies, and funding sources.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
