About the Position:

The incumbent provides DoD and HQDA-wide leadership in directing the analysis and integration of policies, programs, and requirements pertaining to Training Leader Development, Army Campaign Plan, Army Capabilities and Requirements Training, Current Forces and operational training requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance to employees assigned to the Division, consisting of up to five Department of the Army civilians (in the grade of GS-13 to GS-14 pay schedule) as well as on-site contractors.
  • Review work in progress, completed work, and accomplishments for effectiveness of operations, thoroughness of treatment, soundness of project and plans, timelines, and policy compliance.
  • Direct the integration of strategic guidance affecting Army training requirements within the Army Campaign Plan, Army Capabilities and Requirements Training, Current Forces and operational training requirements, and future Training Requirements.
  • Recommend policy and programmatic decisions to the Director of Training. Integrate cross-divisional training policies, program goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Represent the Training Directorate in Army Staff preparation of plans and orders in support of current operations and future requirements, as well as conferences and General Officer Steering Committee meetings.

Qualifications:

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes advising senior officials on policy decisions for training programs; overseeing the integration of training and leader development policies and requirements within an organization; and leading a team to include advising employees on work assignments and performance.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
