Job Title: Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at A Smile 4 U.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing routine dental hygiene procedures, and supporting the dentist in developing and implementing individualized dental hygiene plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, polishing, and x-rays, as well as application of sealants and fluorides.
  • Support the dentist in developing and implementing individualized dental hygiene plans for patients.
  • Complete accurate charting of patients, including perio charting and pre-existing conditions.
  • Work under the supervision of the dentist to deliver patient education plans.
  • Assist dentists in performing special tests, procedures, and complex operations related to patients' dental care.
  • Take accurate notes on provided treatment and teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients.
  • Sort and package instruments for proper sterilization, following OSHA guidelines.
  • Securely store and handle patient charts in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Complete weekly autoclave testing and monthly supply orders.
  • Assist in the administration of the recall system, scheduling patients for recall appointments.
