Job Title: Victim Services Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Victim Services Advocate to join our team at Lake County Government. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and support of crime victims and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of crime
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to victim needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and services to support victims
  • Assist victims in navigating the justice system and accessing available resources
  • Document and track case information to ensure accurate and timely support
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Victim services experience preferred
  • Crisis intervention and trauma response training a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
