Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Utility Worker to join our team at Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing assistance to our Production Operators, operating machinery and equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ethanol plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Production Operators with daily tasks and provide support as needed
  • Operate machinery and equipment, including loaders, railcar movers, and skid steers
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues to maintenance
  • Assist with corn oil load out and other duties as assigned
  • Ensure all products are loaded and unloaded safely and as specified
  • Provide backup support to departments, including Material Handlers
  • Complete all duties in a safe and efficient manner at all times
Requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Technical trade certifications are an asset
Working Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to dusty conditions, high noise levels, and outside weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in a team environment.
