Are you a dedicated and skilled employment litigation attorney with a passion for managing complex wage-hour class action claims? If so, this opportunity may be ideal for you.
This role necessitates a solid understanding of California Labor Laws and the capability to oversee cases from inception to resolution.
The successful candidate will effectively manage all facets of the litigation process, from initiating legal actions to final resolution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a range of wage-hour class action claims in compliance with California Labor Laws.
- Representing clients in court and effectively arguing motions.
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests while overseeing all litigation aspects.
- Preparing clients and witnesses for depositions and defending depositions.
- Overseeing cases from initiation through trial preparation and trial.
- Advising clients on PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims.
- Formulating case strategies based on factual circumstances and client objectives.
- Staying informed on legal principles and developments in employment law.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a thorough defense strategy.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with outstanding academic credentials.
- A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in employment litigation.
- Significant experience in handling California wage-hour class action claims.
- Proficiency in PAGA and California Labor Laws.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases from start to finish.
- Experience in drafting and responding to discovery, arguing motions, and defending depositions.
- Must be licensed to practice in California.
- Proven success in defense litigation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
