We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a Pediatric LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients, staff, and physicians in maintaining a high level of efficiency and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population.
- Administer medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written order, ensuring verification by a licensed person and documentation of all medications administered.
- Prepare patients for examination or procedure, obtain complete and accurate consent for procedures/surgery, and prepare and label biopsies in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Accurately document patient care per protocol, partner with physicians to continuously learn and expand clinical knowledge base, and provide specific educational material and individual teaching.
- Use universal precautions and demonstrate knowledge of infection control policies and procedures, provide assistance to PSRs in resolving issues related to front desk responsibilities, and act as a positive role model and ensure appropriate service delivery.
- California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- 1 Year LVN experience in related clinical area
- Ambulatory care experience
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
- IV Certification (NPTA Sterile Product Certification) - Various-Employee provides certificate - PREFERRED
