Job Opportunity at Boston Speech Therapy
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This is a part-time position, 15 hours a week, with a competitive hourly rate of $75.
About the Role
- This is a 1099 contract position from now until the end of the school year.
- The successful candidate will work with elementary and middle school level children, providing educational support and therapy.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired within the last 3 years.
- A valid TVI Certificate/Credential in Massachusetts is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students with visual impairments.
- Provide adaptive instruction and support to students in a variety of settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired within the last 3 years.
- Valid TVI Certificate/Credential in Massachusetts.
- Ability to adapt in situations and problem solve.
