Registry Ally, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Specialist to join our team at a Psychiatric Correctional Facility in Lubbock, TX.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic and preventive procedures to ensure the health and safety of inmates.
- Interpret physicians' orders and administer prescribed medication as needed.
- Assist physicians with sick call and apply surgical dressings and bandages as required.
- Provide emergency first aid care and check and record vital signs.
- Instruct inmates on discharge planning and observe signs and symptoms during sick call.
- Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in inmates' emotional or physical condition.
- Consult with supervisor on problem cases and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide health care education to inmates and supervise correctional staff on inmate health care needs.
- Active Texas LPN License
- Graduate of a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing Program
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
- Minimum of 1 year of Psych Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or LTAC experience
