As an Automotive Technician at Plaza Tire Service, you will engage in hands-on maintenance and repair of customer vehicles, while also guiding other shop staff. Your daily tasks will include:
- Performing brake repairs
- Working on suspension systems
- Conducting wheel alignments
- Replacing front-end components
- Executing preventive maintenance tasks
- Repairing and replacing tires
- Changing oil
- And additional automotive services
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Valid and current Driver's License
The Automotive Technician position involves exposure to moderate to loud noise levels, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, and various materials. The work environment may vary in temperature, including extreme heat or cold. Safety goggles and other personal protective equipment may be necessary in certain situations.
Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to:
- Stand for up to eight hours daily and navigate the shop environment
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently throughout the workday
- Lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly, and up to 70 pounds frequently
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Possess vision adequate for detecting color, depth, and focus
