Key ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the daily operations of a designated clinical area.
Advocates for and allocates resources to ensure efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate nursing care aligned with current best practices.
Integrates clinical, human resource, and financial data to inform decision-making. Promotes research and incorporates evidence-based practices into clinical, operational, and leadership frameworks. Ensures adherence to regulatory and professional standards.Essential Duties:
- Demonstrates leadership through the supervision and coordination of clinical care.
- Collaborates with nursing leadership in strategic planning and evaluation of initiatives.
- Contributes to the professional growth of staff and students in a respectful environment.
- Works as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
- Upholds the standards of a Mission Health Professional Nurse, practicing according to the Mission Health Guiding Principles.
- Welcomes and supports new employees, fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and integration into the Mission Health culture.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN)
Preferred Education:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply.
- National Certification in specialty area within one year of assuming the role. Certification may be in leadership or clinical practice.
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; two years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous leadership experience.
