Simulation Specialist

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled Simulation Specialist to join our team. As a Simulation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and administering simulation technology and sessions used in the Virtual Education and Simulation (VEST) Center.

• Facilitate the use of simulation for education, performance improvement, research, and equipment evaluation
• Maintain and update simulation center's database to include student and facilitator participation
• Develop simulation scenarios in conjunction with department management, coordinators, educators, physicians, nurses, and allied health providers
• Manage and direct simulation activities
• Collect data on the effectiveness of simulation for student learning, critical thinking, and clinical decision making
• Develop and deliver methods to evaluate student and facilitator satisfaction with departmental and simulation center programs
• Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and development of initiatives for the integration of simulation in clinical education

• B.S. required, M.S. preferred
• RN or allied healthcare degree preferred
• ACLS certified is strongly preferred
• Experience as an ACLS instructor is strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a health care professional required
• Experience working in a simulation education environment preferred
• Experience with operating patient simulation equipment preferred
