Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at MaineHealth, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments and technologies in the field
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; surgical technologist training from an accredited school or hospital preferred
  • Successful completion of Surgical Technician certification exam
  • Two years of experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
