Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Operator in Training/Operator I-II to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our water/wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water/wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, engines, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, and chemical feed systems.
  • Monitor and control process conditions, including flow rates, pressures, and chemical dosages, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including lubrication, adjustments, and minor replacements.
  • Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in water/wastewater treatment and operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; six months to two years of experience in a related position and environment preferred.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend English, as well as perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
