Job Summary

The Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment Repair Specialist is a critical role at US Foods, Inc. responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex diesel equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, to extend equipment lifespan and reduce costs.
  • Document all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability in accordance with company standards.
  • Handle road service calls and perform roadside repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills related to equipment repairs.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Prior experience administering effective PM programs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CDL A and DOT certification.
  • Experience working with EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated base salary of $32.05 per hour, with opportunities for overtime compensation and bonuses. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more.
