We are seeking a skilled Container Developer with expertise in the development, deployment, and maintenance of Docker Containers for applications built on Java, NodeJS, and .NET frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Dockerfiles for applications utilizing Java, Node, and .NET technologies.
  • Establish deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps to facilitate the building and deployment of containers on Linux environments.
  • Manage a repository of standardized container images within Nexus Repository Manager.
  • Collaborate with developers to gather and clarify project requirements.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while also thriving in a collaborative team setting.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies and software solutions.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage responsibilities efficiently.
  • Provide and accept constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Contribute to process enhancements and propose innovative ideas.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 4 years of experience with Docker container technologies.
  • A minimum of 3 years in Linux Administration (preferably Oracle Linux/RHEL).
  • Proficient understanding of Docker container runtime, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, container networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose issues on the underlying operating system where Docker containers are deployed, including network, file mount, and resource-related challenges.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies in Azure DevOps.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Python scripting or development.
  • Knowledge of common container deployment and runtime troubleshooting techniques.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for NGINX, Java, Postfix, and .NET applications.
  • Experience working within an Agile development framework.
  • Understanding of Linux, NGINX, Apache, and SSL certificate management.
  • Commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of secure container and Linux administration practices.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with business applications such as spreadsheets and calendars.
  • Exceptional communication skills with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members and other departments.
  • Experience in creating architecture diagrams using Visio.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Ansible Playbooks.
  • Experience with orchestration tools.
