Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and checking for potential interactions.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including filling prescriptions and verifying medication
  • Providing exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Operating pharmacy systems, including entering patient and drug information, and processing prescriptions
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, including inventory management and sales data
  • Participating in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months of experience in a retail environment preferred
  • PTCB certification preferred
  • Good math skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
