Job Description

Channel Control Merchants, a leading logistics company, is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will be responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from retail stores and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over land.
  • Route Planning: Plan and optimize routes to ensure timely delivery and minimize fuel consumption.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with dispatchers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and pickup operations.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all relevant truck driving rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least three years of experience as a truck driver.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a valid medical certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as sit for extended periods.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
  • Pay Rate: $0.42 per mile, $15.00 per stop, and $10.00 per hour of downtime.
