Position: Senior Mainframe Engineer

Company: The Brixton Group, Inc.

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess 5-7 years of experience in the field of Information Technology.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of mainframe systems, including z/OS based skills such as TSO, JCL, ISPF, and SDSF.
  • Utilize programming languages including COBOL and REXX; familiarity with VISION/Mark IV is advantageous.
  • Engage in the development and maintenance of essential Mainframe applications, showcasing in-depth expertise in COBOL, JCL, CA7, CICS, DB2, SQL, and VSAM.
  • Exhibit knowledge and experience with IBM mainframe program products, including CA7, Control-D, Connect: Direct/NDM, and CA-View/SAR.
  • Understand message and transmission protocols such as MQ, NDM, and sFTP, along with experience in CICS Webservices.
  • Preferred: Experience in Mainframe DevOps and Mainframe Modernization, including transitioning to ETL, Java, Tableau, etc.

Essential Skills:

1. Proficiency in COBOL

2. Expertise in REXX

3. Experience with Mainframe Applications
