Key Responsibilities

  • Adheres to established rules, guidelines, and regulatory standards while reviewing and underwriting new and renewal policy transactions within designated authority limits.
    • Inputs policy details for assigned products, territories, or agencies in compliance with established templates.
    • Conducts thorough audits of policy information to ensure accuracy.
    • Evaluates premium and loss data for individual accounts during renewal and mid-term underwriting processes.
  • Assesses insurance applications and related risk documentation, ensuring all underwriting requirements are met and referring complex cases for further analysis.
    • Collects necessary information for new and renewal business to support informed underwriting decisions.
    • Investigates any inconsistencies in the information provided.
  • Requests, reviews, and processes necessary reports, endorsement requests, and general correspondence efficiently.
  • Analyzes risk pricing for new submissions and renewals, ensuring compliance with authority limits.
  • Monitors data entry and processing to maintain data integrity and prevent systemic issues.
  • Engages with agents, brokers, and clients to gather essential information for underwriting and to resolve any inquiries.
  • Provides assistance to underwriters by organizing underwriting information to facilitate prompt decision-making.
    • May involve reviewing template policies and executing endorsements within assigned authority.
  • Supplies necessary information to Rating and Processing departments to ensure timely issuance of policies and endorsements.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
Field of Study: Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
Experience: Typically, 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
