Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Hospice Patient Volunteer. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients with terminal illnesses
  • Engage in conversation, read to patients, look at pictures together, share music or videos, and provide a compassionate presence
  • Volunteer in the Bath and Yarmouth areas, serving patients in their homes or other care settings
Requirements
  • Age 18 or older
  • Ability to commit to a one-year volunteer program
  • Strong listening skills, compassion for others, and good boundaries
  • Completion of online training, which includes personal death awareness and hospice philosophy
  • No recent experience with a terminal illness in the past year
