Job Summary

UCLA Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a Senior LVN, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care to a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and phlebotomy.
  • Work collaboratively with clinic management, administration, faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and other clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks and protocols established by the department.
  • Perform phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other skills within the scope of practice.
  • Recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
  • Maintain a cooperative working environment with physicians, staff, and all health providers.
  • Effectively convey sensitive information in a courteous manner in person or on the telephone.
Requirements
  • Possess a license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
  • Possession of BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • 6+ months of LVN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures.
