About the Role

G-Research, a leading quantitative research and technology firm, is seeking an experienced Compute Windows Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Dallas. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing our Windows-based infrastructure, which underpins our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate Windows Build and Decommission using tools such as Ansible, Packer, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Manage Windows-Based Infrastructure Lifecycle, including patching, using tools such as Microsoft WSUS, and software package deployment tools.
  • Develop Tooling for Smooth Operation of our Windows infrastructure as part of the wider platform.
  • Manage Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Infrastructure.
  • Implement and Maintain Security Best Practices.
  • Maintain Detailed Documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
  • Strong Automation Skills using tools such as PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and GitOps Principles.
  • Experience with Managing Microsoft Active Directory, including core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, and PKI.
  • Experience with Virtualization Environments, such as VMware vSphere.
  • Experience with Monitoring Tooling, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience with Secret Management Tools, such as Hashicorp Vault or similar.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Familiarity with Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies is beneficial.
