Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team at i4 Search Group. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to pets and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in all aspects of animal care, including examinations, treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and other prescribed treatments, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing, including blood, urine, and fecal samples.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and ultrasound, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Provide wound care, dental cleaning, and post-surgical care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during surgery, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
  • Educate pet owners on preventative care, medications, and post-surgical instructions, promoting a strong client-veterinary relationship.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in our clinic's database, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Clean and sanitize examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment, upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely during exams and procedures, demonstrating compassion and respect for all patients.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies, ensuring our clinic is well-stocked and prepared to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Provide exceptional care and support to pets and their owners, fostering a positive and empathetic work environment.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Valid certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician within the State of Practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in handling a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, small mammals, and other species.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
  • Basic knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and medications, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
