Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the RN Coordinator for Patient Placement is responsible for overseeing the administrative and programmatic aspects of patient placement within a specialized department. This role ensures optimal patient placement by acting as a crucial liaison among internal and external healthcare providers, including physicians, nursing staff, and various patient intake areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, adhering to established professional standards and institutional policies.
  • Organize and prioritize services and activities to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Engage actively in the development of quality improvement programs and pursue professional growth opportunities, while also supporting the professional development of colleagues.
  • Assess the effectiveness of services provided and implement necessary improvements.
  • Exhibit leadership in the delivery of healthcare services.
  • Ensure a safe environment and the secure delivery of services.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Compensation:
The compensation for this position is set at $55.38 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred and should be obtained within five years of hire for all new employees.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience is required.
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A valid Virginia Driver's License may also be required.

Physical Requirements:
This position primarily involves sedentary work with extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be necessary to attend meetings and programs.
