Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a skilled CT Technologist. We are redefining the landscape of radiology, making it an essential initial step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As a CT Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated scanning equipment to capture images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. You will adopt a patient-focused approach, delivering scanning services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Each patient arrives at our facilities seeking clarity. You will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by clearly explaining the process and addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding the examination procedures.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient CT Imaging Duties

  • Screen patients prior to examinations for any necessary precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm the correct patient and procedure.
  • Clearly explain and prepare patients for the imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Conduct routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating patient conditions, ensuring minimal supervision and repeat scans, while providing ongoing support to patients during the procedure.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as needed, employing dose reduction techniques where applicable.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physician orders and safety regulations to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain equipment in optimal working condition; clean and disinfect after each use.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations.

(5%) Scanning Department Support

  • Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitor inventory of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff, providing guidance and technical expertise as required.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete other tasks as assigned.
