Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate work orders by selecting the appropriate machining program.
  • Confirms that the materials used align with production specifications and meet quality standards.
  • Utilizes measuring instruments to check machine precision and calibration, documenting findings on audit sheets.
  • Organizes, labels, and stacks machined components for subsequent manufacturing stages.
  • Conducts routine maintenance and reports any issues to the Manager or lead personnel.
  • Operates machinery at optimal capacity while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Engages in a collaborative team environment and adheres to Quality Control procedures.
  • Follows all safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience, with up to one month of related training.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in reading tape measures in both standard and metric units.
  • Capable of interpreting shop drawings in standard and metric formats.
  • Adept at using measuring tools in both standard and metric systems.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting common machining and quality issues.

Work Environment

Employees must be prepared to work in varying climate conditions, including heat and cold. The work environment is fast-paced with elevated noise levels. Exposure to paint fumes and industrial chemicals may occur. Personal Protective Equipment as mandated by OSHA will be provided by the company.
