Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospital Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our hospital staff, you will provide top-notch patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to the growth of our productive practice while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care according to patient signalment, lifestyle, and environment.
  • Utilize a problem-based approach to develop complete problem lists, differential diagnoses, diagnostic plans, and appropriate treatments based on diagnostic test results.
  • Document all patient observations, findings, treatments, and interactions in the medical record in a concise and detailed fashion.
  • Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
  • Develop treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization and communicate effectively with referral hospitals to ensure continuity of patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • USDA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
