Key Responsibilities: You will oversee the creation, execution, and upkeep of a robust Trainee Employee Assistance Program (TEAP) aimed at raising awareness, preventing substance misuse, training staff, and collaborating with the community on substance use issues.

Core Duties:

  1. Develop procedures to synchronize TEAP components with other center initiatives and policies.
  2. Evaluate students with recognized substance use challenges; create and implement a strategy to address these issues by collaborating with students and counselors; deliver TEAP/TUPP orientation and education to students and instructors.
  3. Engage with new students for assessments and the formulation of assistance plans during their initial probation period, participate in career preparation, and provide information on prevention initiatives.
  4. Offer assessment and intervention plans for any student who tests positive for substances.
  5. Collaborate with counseling, health/wellness, and human resources departments for necessary referrals of students and/or staff with TEAP-related issues.
  6. Conduct ongoing training for all staff to enhance their ability to identify and report substance abuse issues, improve individual counseling skills, and foster team cohesion.
  7. Facilitate TEAP classes, group education sessions, and peer support activities for students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must possess an active, unrestricted substance abuse certification or license in accordance with state requirements (CADC or CRADC).
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
