Wildland Firefighter/Ranger Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Wildland Firefighter/Ranger. As a key member of our fire management team, you will be responsible for protecting our natural resources and communities from wildland fires.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to wildland fires and other emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct fire prevention and education activities to reduce the risk of wildland fires.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to develop and implement effective fire management strategies.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on fire equipment and vehicles.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
