Job Summary

The Nuclear Design Engineering department at Dominion Energy is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate design modifications to nuclear plant systems, including the preparation and review of design modification packages using the standard design process.
  • Prepare and review site/system/construction drawings, calculations, and analysis to support modification and operation of plant systems.
  • Assess the impact of design modifications on plant design and licensing basis.
  • Perform field support for inspections of plant equipment and structures, implementation of modifications, and other related activities.
Requirements
  • Engineer II: 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Engineer III: 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Completed ABET-accredited Civil engineering degree.
  • Knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven decision-making skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and perform inspections and walkdowns, project management activities, and support of testing and troubleshooting of plant modifications.
