We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Solar Technician to join our team at Spark Power. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a zero-incident workplace by following all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Routine Safety Documentation: Complete safety documentation before every job, including tailgate meetings and electrical work permits.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Perform technical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance activities to maximize performance and production.
  • Energization/De-energization Procedures: Follow and implement energization and de-energization procedures as required.
  • LOTO Plans and Procedures: Follow and implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) plans and procedures to ensure safe work practices.
  • Schematic Interpretation: Interpret schematics and blueprints to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checklists and inspections to document deficiencies and identify corrective actions.
  • OEM Maintenance Requirements: Follow OEM-specific maintenance requirements in addition to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Daily Reporting: Complete daily digital reporting and documentation of all work performed.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work in a team-based environment and independently as necessary, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.
  • On-Call Services: Participate in on-call weekend services on a rotating schedule.
  • Issue Identification and Feedback: Identify and provide feedback on issues and ongoing development of projects.
  • Overtime and Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including buildings, vegetation, fences, gates, roads, and spare parts inventory.
