Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Tech Lead to join our team at Steward Medical Group - North. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information, ensuring patient preparation, and providing complete documentation of exams.
Key Responsibilities:- Ultrasound Imaging: Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information, ensuring patient preparation and proper positioning.
- Correlating Medical History: Correlate medical history with test requirements and decide the correct performance of examinations.
- Communication: Explain exams to patients, taking into consideration physical and emotional needs, and follow HIPAA standards to maintain patient privacy.
- Equipment Maintenance: Verify operation of all ultrasound equipment and notify personnel of malfunctions and repairs as needed.
- Quality Control: Follow all PACS workflow procedures for quality, proper identification, and completeness of examinations requested.
- Documentation: Execute paperwork as necessary for each patient exam, including CPT codes and checking physician order sheets prior to exams.
- Professional Development: Remain current on developments and trends in imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment by reading manuals and technical journals.
- Registration: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and/or ARRT in Sonography.
- Experience: Five (5) years of Ultrasound experience is preferred.
- Certification: Current BLS certificate.
