Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement lesson plans, adapting them as necessary throughout the academic year.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of student progress and development.
  • Employ evidence-based best practices in daily lesson planning and classroom management.
  • Foster a positive and productive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Utilize approved curricula that reflect the varied educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of students.
  • Implement school-wide behavioral expectations and norms.
  • Engage with families to discuss their child's academic and social-emotional development.
  • Integrate technology into daily instructional practices to enhance learning.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of extracurricular activities as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid and current state teaching license in the relevant subject area.
  • A Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
  • Comfortable working in a coaching environment that includes regular observations and feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Experience supervising students in various school settings.
  • Successful completion of federal and state background checks.
  • Experience in urban educational settings is preferred.
