We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ohio Textile Service, Inc.
About the Role
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, including air compressors, welding and piping systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing filters and other components.
- Work with other associates to accomplish defined goals and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Operate powered industrial forklifts/lifts to assist in relocating materials and perform various levels of facilities upkeep, including landscaping, snow removal, and refuse removal.
- Assist in other areas and/or departments as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED and general knowledge and skills representing a good mechanical background.
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English.
- Basic computer skills and ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
- Any combination of general maintenance, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, automotive maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, and military experience is acceptable.
