Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families by providing exceptional maintenance services at SSM Health St. Clare Meadows Care Center.

Maintenance and general upkeep of the facility and its equipment are essential tasks that require attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and strong problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facility equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, utilities, communications, and bathing systems.
  2. Facility Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain facility vehicles according to an established schedule, ensuring they are in good working condition and safe to operate.
  3. Grounds Maintenance: Take care of the exterior appearance of the property, including lawn care, landscaping, and cleaning up around the building.
  4. Service Requests: Complete service requests from staff members as assigned, documenting all work performed.
  5. Scheduling and Documentation: Maintain schedules and documentation for facility systems testing (fire, smoke, sprinkler, generator, security, etc.).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Constant standing and walking; frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noises, and hazardous materials.
