Position Overview
The Screw Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of automatic screw machines to manufacture quick-connect components at specified production rates while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
2. Operate and oversee multiple automatic screw machines.
3. Conduct in-process inspections utilizing provided gauges and adhering to the control plan.
4. Implement the "3-Container System" procedure to verify that parts meet specifications.
5. Accurately document information on downtime sheets and in the grind log.
6. Achieve production targets consistently.
7. Facilitate communication regarding machine conditions between shifts.
8. Alert the Production Supervisor of any defects or non-conformities.
9. Perform tool changes and necessary adjustments.
10. Carry out all operator preventative maintenance on machines according to established schedules.
11. Inspect and sort components as required.
12. Manage chip processing within the chip system.
13. Execute bar stamping tasks as necessary.
