Role Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer for Suppliers will take full responsibility for the creation, assessment, and documentation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions. This role involves managing supplier deviations through a dedicated communication channel and overseeing the associated documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage PPAP documentation.
- Review and validate PPAP submissions from suppliers.
- Engage in effective communication with suppliers via electronic correspondence and phone calls.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Conduct validations at customer sites, requiring occasional travel.
Travel Requirements: The position entails approximately 30% travel, primarily for validation activities at customer locations.
Focus Areas: The role will emphasize various manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, wire harness production, tubing, piping, injection molding, and pressure tank manufacturing.
Essential Skills:
- Expertise in PPAP creation and documentation.
- Strong communication skills for supplier interactions.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
