Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and Repairs: Use state-of-the-art computer systems to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues.
- Tire and Brake Services: Perform tire repairs, replacements, and balancing, as well as brake repairs and replacements.
- Engine and Cooling Systems: Diagnose and repair issues with car heating and air conditioning, steering and suspension, belts and hoses, radiator and engine cooling systems, and batteries and starting systems.
- Oil Changes and Maintenance: Perform routine oil changes and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Visual Safety and Courtesy Inspections: Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles to identify potential safety issues and provide courtesy inspections to customers.
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Possess knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics, as well as experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.
- Education and Certifications: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid driver's license. Technical degrees and certifications are a plus.
- Work Experience: Have a track record of high personal productivity and experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $55,000.00 per year, as well as opportunities for growth and development within the company.
