- Prepare patients for their appointments by completing the Advanced Standard room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, measuring vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and conducting thorough medication reconciliations.
- Assist with in-office tests such as blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccines and other injections as permitted by practice scope.
- Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to monitor and coordinate the implementation of care plans.
- Primary Care Assistant - Medical Assistant: High School Diploma or GED required. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Preferred: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting.
- Primary Care - Certified Medical Assistant: High School Diploma or GED required. Must possess active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
