Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a supervising Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive rehabilitation programs to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs using varied techniques and treatment activities.
  • Review and modify treatment plans in response to changing patient needs.
  • Identify equipment and discharge needs for patients.
  • Assist patients in preparing for treatment and modalities as necessary.
  • Provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and complete supporting documentation according to hospital policy and state practice act.
  • Communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed Physical Therapist, and progress patients in an appropriate manner when deemed necessary.
Requirements
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Previous experience in the care of patients preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
