About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Surgeon to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY). As a Pediatric Surgeon, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality surgical care to our patients, while also providing leadership and guidance to our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Perform the most complex and highly specialized surgical procedures in the field of pediatric surgery.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Supervise and teach house staff and other members of the surgical team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, working closely with the Chief of Surgery to develop and implement metrics to support quality improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Attend weekly staff conferences and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of pediatric surgery.
Requirements
  • Current Licensure: Current licensed NYS registration certificate and DEA licensed certification.
  • Board Certification: Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery.
  • Education and Training: Graduated from an approved medical school and completed an approved residency in pediatric surgery.
  • Certifications: ACLS/ATLS/PALS certification or eligible to obtain.
