We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of others, performing and interpreting various chemical, microscopic, and/or bacteriologic tests, and ensuring the quality and completeness of laboratory work.
Key Responsibilities- Interview and recommend candidates for laboratory positions
- Evaluate new hires' performance and conduct performance reviews
- Schedule employees for laboratory shifts and ensure quality control
- Discuss performance issues with employees and recommend disciplinary action
- Provide guidance and consultation on complex test results
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Five years of related experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- ASCP certification as an MT is preferred
