Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at Sky Lakes Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care to our patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and educating patients and staff on nutrition-related topics.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, dietary needs, and treatment goals.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments, including evaluating patients' dietary habits, nutritional status, and risk factors for chronic diseases.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and nutrition-related topics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans that address patients' nutritional needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in nutrition and dietetics, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
  • Current Oregon licensure as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinical or acute care environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working days. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and sitting. The ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally is also required.
