About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our team at eSpace, a leading innovator in space-based communications. As a GNC Robotics Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of our satellite platform's guidance, navigation, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain testbeds for characterizing performance of various sensors and fusion algorithms
  • Interface with flight software and avionics teams to build test jigs for qualifying GNC components on the flight computer board
  • Design and implementation of software tools for ground and in-orbit calibration
  • Processing, visualization, and evaluation of orbit data to assess sensor and actuator behavior and performance
  • Cross-functional interaction with other subsystem engineers, providing expertise as needed
Requirements
  • BS +4 years / MS +2 year in Electronics, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent field of study
  • Hands-on professional experience with a robotic vehicle
  • Experience building hardware using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Pixhawk or micro-controllers
  • Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C and CAN communication protocols
  • Proficient in Matlab, Python, C/C++
  • Familiarity with CAD and 3d printing
