**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our client's team in a direct hire position. As a leader in business process solutions, our partner company offers a dynamic and growth-focused environment where you can advance your career.
This role will be integral to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving continuous process improvements. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate setting and a strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries and analyzing balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across multiple systems.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation, while collaborating with teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
- Contribute to the development of desk procedures, enhance internal controls, and assist with multi-state sales tax compliance and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred; knowledge of other ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to maintain good team relationships while resolving problems with sound judgment.
