Position Objective: The EHR Training and Implementation Specialist will concentrate on educational strategies, methodologies, interventions, and best practices for instructing staff on the utilization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) within the organization. This role is essential for creating and delivering comprehensive, team-oriented training for personnel, including management and new employees, in compliance with relevant state and federal regulations. The EHR Training and Implementation Specialist is crucial to the organization's knowledge base and effective use of EHR technology, playing a significant role in upcoming projects and implementations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field in behavioral health
- Proven experience in behavioral health services
- Outstanding oral and written communication and instructional abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with EHR systems and proficiency in relevant software applications
- Familiarity with applicable State and Federal regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of collaborating across various departments and engaging with employees at all levels
- Commitment to the mission and vision of the organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Work designated hours and any additional hours as required by leadership. Some flexibility in scheduled hours and travel between locations may be necessary to fulfill organizational needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on EHR-related initiatives to assess current training requirements.
- Provide training support for EHR rollouts, projects, and implementations.
- Organize and schedule centralized training sessions for specific groups of staff.
- Lead core training topics and sessions.
- Establish clear, relevant objectives and learning outcomes for all initiatives.
- Utilize diverse techniques to engage adult learners effectively.
- Record training credits in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Employ instructional design software to create training materials.
- Design and develop training sessions/content for various delivery methods: electronic, in-person, virtual, blended, video-based, etc.
- Create supplemental training manuals, job aids, resources, and materials.
- Develop and implement innovative training and educational opportunities to enhance staff competencies regarding EHR.
- Exhibit strong customer service skills that reflect the organization's core values in daily interactions.
- Demonstrate actions and decisions that align with the organization's Code of Conduct and legal standards.
- Act as a role model and demonstrate excellent stewardship of the organization.
- Participate as a team member in all meetings, duties, and activities as assigned.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Monday through Friday
