Job Title: School Psychometrist

Join the Alabama Department of Education as a School Psychometrist, responsible for administering and interpreting psychological and neuropsychological tests to support student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests to assess student cognitive and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations to teachers and other educational professionals to inform instruction and support student learning.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and other support plans for students with special needs.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of new assessments and interventions.
  • Provide training and professional development to school staff on assessment and intervention strategies.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Alabama teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience in administering and interpreting psychological and neuropsychological tests.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and other professionals.
