Job Summary

PSN Affiliates is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing and assisting with high-quality diagnostic MRI procedures, focusing on patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic MRI imaging services to patients.
  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment into specified positions.
  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques and using beam restrictive devices.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols and following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree of Applied Science.
  • Certification: Current License from the state of Texas (ARRT) and Texas Medical Board, Basic Life Support.
  • 2 years of Hospital or Surgery Center Experience preferred.
  • MRI experience required.
