Respiratory Therapist RRT

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at HCA Florida West Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date.
